Project Summary: NP Medical
NP Medical Inc. is an innovative supplier of medical devices headquartered in Clinton, Massachusetts. After being recently acquired, they moved their manufacturing facility to the Dominican Republic. NP Medical had no formal manufacturing training strategy and with the new manufacturing location they faced challenges including a language barrier, attrition, knowledge loss, and retirement. NP Medical chose to partner with TTA to transform their current apprentice-style training program into a branded, certification-based program that provides clear, comprehensive and standardized hands-on training that focuses creating career paths for each technical role (Machine Operator, Machine Mechanic, Machine Technician, Manufacturing Engineer, and Quality Control Inspector). TTA worked in collaboration with NP Medical’s Subject Matter Experts to craft a comprehensive but cost-effective solution that included visually appealing training materials that mapped out certification programs for multiple levels for each role in the lifecycle of NP Medical’s Employees.
