The Training Associates Corporation (TTA), a leading provider of learning and development talent and solutions, is delighted to announce that it has won the 2019 Brandon Hall Group Bronze Award for Excellence in Learning for the work that TTA did for its client the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) in creating a set of onboarding videos for new social workers. The winners are listed at:
DCF partnered with TTA to design and implement numerous onboarding videos which would be shared with new social workers prior to their first day of training. The videos answered general questions including areas such as new social worker licensing, what to expect during training, and how to prepare for training. The onboarding videos are highly successful in reducing the time during training spent on answering general questions and have instilled increased levels of confidence and preparedness in new social workers.
“We are thankful to have had the opportunity to work with DCF on such an important project that improves the way these social workers help children and families. The videos helped to improve the new social worker onboarding process, improve preparedness, and improve confidence as they enter the field. We are honored to receive the Brandon Hall Group Bronze Award for Excellence in Learning,” said Maria Melfa, TTA’s President, and CEO.
“Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program has recognized leading organizations for the past twenty-plus years for the latest trends in Human Capital Management,” said Rachel Cooke, Brandon Hall Group COO, and leader of the HCM Excellence Awards Program. “The initiatives that were honored are not only innovative but fit the unique needs of the business and create truly remarkable success stories.”

Excellence Awards winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference, February 4-6, 2020, at the Hilton West Palm Beach, Florida. Select winners also will serve as presenters in breakout sessions, sharing their leading practices during the conference.
“The HCM Excellence Awards recognize programs that measurably benefit organizations,” said Mike Cooke, Brandon Hall Group CEO. “Many human capital management departments are unable to confirm that their initiatives help the business’s bottom line.
