Microsoft has expanded into markets such as video game consoles, CRM applications, server and storage software, and digital music players.

 

Business Problem:  Trainers and Facilities Needed for Channel Enablement Events

Channel enablement is a significant undertaking for any IT manufacturer, and Microsoft is no exception. When Microsoft needed to train partners in their vastly dispersed channel on how to properly market, sell, service, and install their latest products, they quickly realized the most efficient way to accomplish this task was to enlist the help of their partners.

 

TTA Solution:  TTA Called Upon to Manage a Portion of Channel Enablement Events

As the largest provider of training talent and solutions and Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS), The Training Associates (TTA) was called upon to manage a portion of Microsoft’s channel enablement events. TTA was the only partner able to provide trainers AND facilities in any city Microsoft required and in the timeframe they needed.

 

Business Results:

TTA was one of the few channel partners able to meet Microsoft’s high technology requirements for classroom setup and preparation. TTA ran many events in several major cities including Chicago and Atlanta. We were also able to provide immediate gap coverage, taking over for training centers that had to pull out of Microsoft channel events at the last minute, ensuring the project remained on schedule. In less than two weeks, TTA had arranged rental facilities and identified and deployed qualified MCTs to run the events according to Microsoft’s aggressive schedule. A notable outcome was that one of TTA’s trainers deployed on this engagement received an award for having the best evaluation score for a SharePoint class.
