Have a Question?

Q. How does TTA determine whether or not a trainer is qualified and what information will I need to provide TTA as part of the qualification process?

A. We consider several aspects of an individual’s background during the qualification process to ensure he or she possesses the skills, competencies, and experience required to meet or exceed our client expectations. As part of this qualification process, you will complete an online registration form, submit your resume and evidence of your work quality. Specifically, you will need to provide the following information in order to "build" your “trainer profile” and initiate the qualification process:

* Resume
* Professional Training References OR Class Evaluations (see instructions below)
* Certifications (where applicable)
* Courses You Are Qualified To Teach

Q. How long does the qualification process take in total?

A. The qualification process may take several weeks to complete, depending on the number of trainers in process at the time you register. We also take into consideration trainer skill sets and how closely they match our current and forecasted client needs. The qualification process may be significantly shorter or longer based on these factors.

Q. Can I apply online?

A. Yes. The initial steps are easily executed through the use of our TrainerTracker™ system accessible here, and with the assistance of one of our experienced Recruiters.

Q. What is TrainerTracker™?

A. TrainerTracker™ is TTA’s web-based, proprietary software system integrating all client, trainer, technology, course, and job information in one central “secure” location for convenient access on demand. We ask you to enter your information into TrainerTracker™ during the application process, in order to create a unique record for you. Once qualified and working with TTA, you will be able to use TrainerTracker™ to: manage and update your profile; view new/open opportunities, manage and update your calendar and workload, etc.

Q. While completing the online application, am I able to stop before I finish, save my information and return to finish at a later time?

A. Yes, you can stop prior to finishing the process and return at a later time, however you must complete all fields denoted in red before you can save anything. If you don’t complete these fields, you will lose all of the information you have entered and forced to start over.

Q. How long do I have to finish the application process once I’ve begun?

A. Once your account is established, you can save any information entered, log-off and return at a later time to continue. However, if you have not completed the process within six (6) weeks of your start date, the system will automatically change your account status to “incomplete.” In the event that your information becomes “inactive”, contact TTA Recruiting to arrange to re-activate your information. Please Do NOT re-enter the data, as that will create a duplicate profile in your name and create confusion.

Q.  How many class evaluations will I need to provide to TTA?

A. We require three (3) complete “sets” of student evaluations from three recent classes you’ve instructed (e.g. if 3 classes had 7 students in each, you would provide us a total of 21 completed evaluations or 3 sets of 7 evaluations each). These evaluations may be sent via fax to: #(917) 464-9984 or in an email attachment to: Recruiting@thetrainingassociates.com.

Q. What should I do if I cannot obtain copies of class evaluations?

A. In the event that you do not have access to your class evaluations, we will accept three (3) professional letters of recommendation that meet the following criteria:
a. The letter must be from an individual whom you have not already provided as one of your References.
b. Content of the letter must speak to your training experience specifically vs. other talents you possess.
c. The letter must be current; written and dated within the past 6 months.

Q. Who is considered as an acceptable reference?

A. Former training managers, students from previous classes, co-workers and others who have witnessed your training abilities.  Please Note: Contact information for the individual writing the letter must be listed on the reference letter, so we may contact him or her directly if necessary.

Q. When will TTA contact my references?

A. Once all of the requested information is received by TTA, your references are contacted.  Please note we do prioritize trainers based on current demands and level of experience and expedite those trainers with in-demand skills and greater number years of experience.  Please notify your references that a TTA representative will be contacting them.

Q. After contacting my references, what's the next step?

A. Once your reference checks have been completed, you will be contacted by a TTA Recruiter to schedule a telephone interview. Upon successful completion of your interview, your status will be changed to "Qualified."

Q. How will I know if I’m qualified or not?

A. After completing the qualification process, you will receive an email from the TTA Recruiting Department letting you know if you have been qualified as a TTA Trainer.

Q. If I do qualify, what happens next?

A. Once qualified; you will receive an email from the TTA Recruiting department with links to the following documents: standard Contract Trainer Agreement (CTA), W9 form, Background check release form, and TTA Guidebook for Contract Trainers.  You are responsible for signing & returning the Standard TTA Trainer Contract, W9 Form, and background check form to the TTA Recruiting department.

Q. How should I send the forms back to TTA and to whom?

A. The forms may be sent to TTA via fax or emailed as a .pdf file. Original signatures are not required. Send via fax to: (917) 464-9984 or email: InstructorDevelopmentManager@TheTrainingAssociates.com

Q. When will I be eligible for work with TTA?

A. Once the signed forms are received, your status will be elevated to "QA" - Qualified with Agreement - and you may be considered for any training opportunity for which you have the required qualifications.

Q. What should I do if I believe I’m qualified for a job but have not yet completed TTA’s qualification process? Do I need to go through the qualification process prior to responding to an email?

A. No you do not. You can respond to any email directly if you believe you have the requisite requirements. It is suggested, however, that you thoroughly review the job requirements prior to responding to the email to ensure you have the necessary qualifications.

Q. Do I need to be certified to teach Applications (e.g., MS Office, Adobe, etc.) classes or is my training experience on the application enough?

A. You do not need to be certified to teach applications, unless otherwise specified. However, you do need to be experienced in teaching applications.
