Vic Melfa
is the CEO and co-founder of The Training Associates (TTA).  Since 1994, TTA has been recognized as the largest and leading provider of contract and full-time t
rainer consultants. It is relied upon by most training companies and all types of training organizations for a broad range of trainer staffing and trainer consulting services. TTA specializes in the recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) of trainers with instructional and subject matter expertise in all technologies and business skills.   TTA recruits, develops, and deploys thousands of its trainer consultants each year to companies in all industries worldwide.

Vic was active in the growth of the computer training industry from its beginning. He was the founder and CEO of one of the original and most successful training companies in America. With eight Authorized Education Centers, Vitronix was the dominant computer training company in the Northeast, operating the first and largest Microsoft, Sun, and Novell Education Centers and the foremost Authorized Oracle Training Center in the country.  Vic sold Vitronix to a multibillion-dollar IT Service Company in 1993.

Previously, Vic was a management consultant for emerging technical companies and founded several, including: Victor Associates, the largest computer manufacturers' representative in New England; and Victor Electronics, the first New England regional computer distributor. He began his career managing the development of many of the original technologies at the early computer labs and companies.

Vic has a B.S. and M.A. in Physics from the College of the Holy Cross and Columbia University, respectively, all of his Doctoral credits from the latter, and a MBA from Northeastern University. He has been an adjunct professor at Boston University and Boston College, where he developed and taught technical and management courses, and developed their first entrepreneurial studies course.  He was awarded technical appointments at the Los Alamos and Naval Research Laboratories.

Vic has been a New England Entrepreneur of the Year finalist three times, was CEO of an "INC. 500" Fastest Growing Company twice, and was an original founder of both CompTIA and the Information Technology Training Association (ITTA) which is now CompTIA's Technology Learning Group. He has authored many industry articles, been a featured conference speaker and presenter of widely acclaimed white papers, including the groundbreaking: Staff & Contract Trainers - Costs, Comparisons & Considerations for Strategic Decision Making.
